Supported by the Younes & Soraya Nazarian Family Foundation, the Cedars-Sinai Clinical Scholars Program provides funding, career guidance, education and skill-building for aspiring clinical scientists at one of the country's most distinguished medical centers. Its mission is twofold: to educate physicians and other doctoral-level clinical healthcare professionals in the broad foundations of clinical and translational research — in a spirit of creativity and independence — to optimize their chances of becoming productive clinical researchers; and to highlight the relevance of scientific knowledge to human disease, teaching clinical scholars how that knowledge can be translated into research and developing clinician-investigators focused on the prediction, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human disease.
