For over 50 years, the Sapir College Library has served as a vital academic and research hub for students and researchers, as well as a public and cultural institution for the residents of Sha'ar HaNegev. A 2009 gift from the Younes & Soraya Nazarian Family Foundation funded a new wing that doubled the library's size, adding study areas, a multimedia department, and dozens of computer workstations. The new wing's ground floor is dedicated to community life, with dedicated spaces for children's and youth programming as well as activities for seniors.
