SHULAMIT NAZARIAN
TRUSTEE
For more than two decades, Shulamit Nazarian has been a dedicated advocate for artists, arts education, and the creative community in the United States and abroad. She immigrated to the United States from Iran with her parents and siblings. Shulamit studied architecture and began her professional career as an architectural graphic designer before establishing herself as a successful gallerist.
In addition to the philanthropic work of her own foundation, Shulamit has been an engaged supporter of leading cultural and community institutions.
Shulamit’s philanthropic vision has been shaped by a lifelong passion for learning and a deep appreciation for poetry, architecture, history, storytelling, and the fine arts. She credits her parents, Younes and Soraya Nazarian, with instilling the values that continue to guide her work. A commitment to strengthening community institutions and fostering intercultural understanding remains central to her philanthropic approach.
