The Y&S Nazarian Iranian Young Leadership Initiative

The Y&S Nazarian Iranian Young Leadership Initiative (IYLI) honors and celebrates Iranian heritage and culture through inclusive experiences and personal connections for  young adults.

The program envisions a future where Iranian Jewish young adults are fully engaged in Jewish Los Angeles as participants and as leaders throughout the Jewish community at large. The IYLI program applies several strategies to engage with young adult stakeholders. Through peer-to-peer engagement, IYLI empowers participants to leverage their existing relationships and skills to build their own programming to expand their engagement networks. IYLI provides opportunities and training to help individuals and micro-communities create the on-line and in-person social networks and community they desire. Recognizing that today's young Jews have multiple and often conflicting identities,  programming combines Jewish themes with other interests and demonstrate that "doing Jewish" can fit into multiple lifestyles.

The Y&S Nazarian Family Foundation conducts its grantmaking activities with the highest level of due diligence to advance its mission.

Please understand that the Foundation has finite resources for infinite needs in its funding priorities throughout Southern California and Israel. Toward this end, the Foundation accepts proposals by invitation only at this time.

Our grantmaking activities are guided by a proactive strategy on the part of its trustees, Board of Directors, and Junior Board of Advisors.
